Not one of ours, and this is the question worth settling before anything goes to print. A Klip link has no expiry date on any plan, including free, and there is no interstitial or ad in front of it. The pattern on the paper is permanent; what can change is where it points, and only when you change it.

The symbol itself never expires. It is a printed pattern, not a subscription. What expires is whatever the code points at: a static code dies when its web address dies, and a dynamic code dies if the company running the redirect stops answering. That second case is the one to ask providers about, because it is the one that turns a print run into waste.

They keep resolving. Downgrade, cancel, or disappear entirely and every printed code still works. What you lose is scan history, custom domains, and the ability to create new links. A code on somebody's wall is their property as much as yours, and switching it off to collect a subscription is not a lever we are willing to hold.

There is no trial to lapse. The free tier is a plan, not a countdown, and its links never expire. Some providers do expire free links after a trial period, which is worth checking on any code you have already printed elsewhere.

Yes, and this is the practical reason to encode a short link rather than a long URL. More characters means more modules in the same square, so each module is smaller and the code has to be printed larger to stay readable at the same distance. Yes, on every plan including free. Scans are unlimited and never metered. What you get is the count, the hour, the coarse region, and whether the scanner was on Android or iOS, with link-preview bots from Slack, WhatsApp and iMessage counted separately so the number means people rather than traffic.

That is the whole point of a dynamic code. Change the destination and the next scan follows worldwide inside a minute, with no reprint and no new code. A static code cannot do this: the address is inside the pattern, so the only remedy is reprinting everything.
